House of Praise (aka Damaged Goods) is the production alias of UK Surrey-based music producer Gareth Dicks.
Having spent his younger years building up his musical education and experience by regularly DJing in nightclubs and radio for several years in the late 90s and early/mid 00s, Gareth has in more recent years focused his efforts on music production. The ethos of House of Praise is to bring a positive, life-affirming Christian message through a modern dance genre where the music is just the means to an end, that being a Christian message of hope and salvation. A good example of this can be heard in the House of Praise collaboration with Coco Street “Bring Back My Joy” on King Street Records.
The House of Praise sound can best be described as uplifting, soulful deep house with a strong 90s house influence.
House of Praise productions and remixes have featured on Parker Music Works, Integrity Music, Deeptown Records, King Street Records, Defected Records and most recently linking up with Deeplife Records.
